Domestic Violence

Certain cases are scheduled on the Court’s Domestic Violence Docket. The mission of this Docket is to reduce the risk of recurring domestic violence in our community. The Court accomplishes this by giving extra attention to domestic violence cases, increasing offender accountability through status hearings, and expanding monitoring during the pretrial and post-conviction phases of a domestic violence case. We have increased collaboration with community partners, such as the Journey Center for Safety and Healing and Recovery Resources, to strengthen our resources in these cases.
